USPA Seminars
Definition: Seminar
Companies call seminars all kinds of work meetings where the participants are removed from their usual professional environment for a full day or more: corporate seminars, motivational seminars… Seminars are the most frequent type of event for organizers.
One or more experts in a field, often members of staff of a company in that field, deliver information or training on a wide variety of subjects. Seminars are designed to study a question in working groups.
These seminars have promotional objectives. They are professional events where participants are gathered for a day or more. They are removed from their usual professional environment.
Purpose of the USPA seminar
The purpose of the USPA seminar is to make skydiving safer.
Making the activity safer involves several points, but the main one for Instructors is to improve their practice.
The seminar aims to take instructors out of their daily activity, to step back and identify points for improvement.
As mentioned above, the points for improvement aim at making the practice safer: NO accidents, appropriate and, if possible, personalized support for students….
Annual requirement to extend your ratings
A seminar is mandatory to renew your ratings every year, and you must be able to prove your attendance.
We organize seminars twice a year between November and March; you can contact us for more information.
If you have not attended a seminar during the year, we can organize one for you (videoconference).
